Kipi Konsthall, Lodgatan 4

The exhibition Looking for a New Hat departs from Terins’ exhibition GET BORN, REBORN, which was shown at Skiens Kunstforening in Norway at the beginning of 2026. At KIPI Konsthall, Love Terins presents paintings that seek a state in the midst of a metamorphosis, at a moment when the leap has been taken but the landing place remains uncertain. The works touch on a longing for transformation, drawing inspiration from the aesthetics of the circus and moves between opposites: control and collapse, humor and seriousness, implosion and explosion, distortion and beauty, logic and nonsense.

The exhibition also includes NY KOSTYM, a text work by Hanna Hallborn, developed in response to Terins’ paintings. The text will be performed during the opening.

Love Terins (b. 1993, Malmö, Sweden) studied at the Academy of Fine Art at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts and works primarily with painting. Her work has previously been shown at, among others, Naund (DE), Nitja Center for Contemporary Art (NO), Kraften Museum (SE), QB Gallery (NO), and Heerz Tooya (BG). She is the recipient of grants from the Arts Council Norway, the Visual Artists’ Remuneration Fund (NO), Lomma Municipality and Skien Municipality (NO). Her works are held in several public and private collections, including the Fidelity Art Collection (US), Norges Bank (NO), KLP Art Collection (NO), Kunst på Arbeidsplassen (NO), and Lomma Municipality.
